Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire logistics process, from procurement and transportation to inventory management and distribution. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that our products are delivered efficiently and effectively while meeting customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimize the supply chain from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficient flow of goods and services.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to meet business needs while minimizing excess stock and reducing holding costs.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate with freight carriers and manage transportation logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within logistics operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational goals and enhance team performance.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and improve service levels.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analyze logistics data and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management, and inventory control principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
